Biography

Toronto born classical soprano Alessandra Paonessa has been praised for her ‘lovely clear tone’. Recently making her European debut, Alessandra starred as Eumete and Guinone ( Il ritorno di Ulissa in patria) with Accedimia Europea Dell'Opera, Netherlands and First witch ( Dido and Aeneas) with York University (2012).

Ms. Alessandra has been seen singing as a soloist with the Neopolitian Connection Concert Series (2012) and is a recent alumna of OperaWorks Emerging Artist Program (2013). Alessandra was awarded the Senior Voice Scholarship from Newmarket Voice Festival, Third in the NATS third year women's competition, and First in the Peel Music Festival Operatic Aria category in addition to the Sterling Beckwith Award, a scholarship presented to her by York University where she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Music.
